Attracted by the sunshine, a higher standard of living and the burgeoning job market, lots of expatriates land up in Indonesia, many of those in Jakarta. A dense urban jungle of super-malls, super-slums and generally unfamiliar sights, Jakarta can be an overwhelming place to find oneself. So how can we make ourselves feel “at home,” in this vast city?
