The country’s biggest pop culture convention, Indonesia Comic Con 2017 is back! Titled “We are Pop Culture”, Indonesia Comic Con 2017 will be held over two days at Jakarta Convention Center on 28 & 29 October. 

Indonesia Comic Con 2017 will feature 180 exhibitors from eight countries such as the US, Italy, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia and include Marvel Studios’ Road to Infinity Wars, Walt Disney Indonesia’s Star Wars, FOX Asia’s The Walking Dead, dam Sanrio’s Gudetama. You also will not miss Live4Toys, TOKIDOKI, Funko, Bandai, Hot Toys, Lego’s Ninjago, MNC Animation’s Zak Storm, M&C Comics, Elex Media Komputindo, Shirokuma Cafe and many more. 

Organizer ReedPOP through Reed Panorama Exhibitions (RPE) will present the pop culture experience from both East and West by celebrating the most recent content from comics, anime, toys, collectables, gaming, TV, film and other industry platforms. 

James Boey, General Manager of ReedPOP and Reed Panorama Exhibitions said that the organizer aims to deliver a compelling world class fan experience and unite new and existing fans across Indonesia. 

“Whether you’re an avid collector, a die-hard AniManga fan, a movie geek, a popular art enthusiast or a bystander who is curious about the immense pop culture trends in Indonesia, Indonesia Comic Con 2017 has something special for you,” Boey said.

Indonesia Comic Con 2017 will see a number of renowned personalities taking to the stage, including legendary American actor Jason David Frank, known for his role as Tommy Oliver, the "Green Power Ranger", and Yanick Paquette, a DC Comics illustrator from Canada, known for his works on Wonder-Woman, Superman, Batman, Avengers, JLA, X-Men, Wolverine Weapon X, Terra Obscura, Seven Soldiers, Swamp Thing.

Bernard Chang, who has worked on comics such as Wonder Woman, Superman, Supergirl, Green Lantern Corps, and The Game by Neil Straus is also scheduled to appear at the event, while Indonesia will be represented by Is Yuniarto, an illustrator and comic artist from Surabaya. 

This year, Indonesia Comic Con 2017 will also present the New Sneaker Zone featuring a rare collection of sneakers as well as the launch of Game Expo (GX) Indonesia. In addition to exchanging knowledge and being exposed to cultures from all around the world, visitors will be entertained by DJs from Japan, such as Ryu,Kors K, Pinnochio P, and MK-2.

Indonesia Comic Con 2017 tickets are now available online at www.indonesiacomiccon.com/tickets.
