Together with Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism, 5-star hotel Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta has made a commitment to promote Indonesia – and especially Yogyakarta – and its culture on a global stage and increase the length of stay of both domestic and international tourists in Yogyakarta.

This month alone, the hotel will participate in three prestigious trade shows, namely the Travel Tour Expo in Manila, the Thai International Travel Fair in Bangkok and the International Wedding Festival in Jakarta, that not only gives Yogyakarta the chance to present itself as a MICE destination, but also as an alternative wedding destination to those who may be looking for another place besides Bali.

In the upcoming months, Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta will again represent the fine city of Yogyakarta at the internationally renowned tourism fair in Berlin as well as the Vietnam International Travel Mart in Hanoi. The hotel was appointed by the Ministry of Tourism because of its world class facilities, unique character and its mission to preserve authentic local culture such as Jemparingan, Jemuwah Sonten, Patehan, classic dances and more.

Ian Cameron, General Manager of Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta said that it was time for Yogyakarta to take its well-deserved spot among the top world tourist destinations.

“We will bring interesting holiday packages and destination information to the trade shows, and also cater to special interest tourism like culture, archaeology and nature,” he said. “I, myself a foreigner, can say from personal experience that Yogyakarta is wonderful and authentic destination.”
