The new Chinese restaurant in town, Chao Chao on the 25ft floor of Alila SCBD presents a CNY menu inspired by China’s vibrant tradition, available until 27 February. Michelin-star Chef Tong has curated each dish for the celebration which reflects a colourful representation of different elements of the Chinese lunar calendar, with highlights Prosperity Lobster Yu Sheng, a mutiara lobster with shredded daikon and carrot decorated with cress and apple blossom, Fortune Golden Chicken with three style mushrooms, and the finale of the menu is the eye-catching Wishing Tree, an indulgent tree-formed dessert of red cotton candy on top of gold chocolate tree with raspberry sorbet, raspberry mousse and vanilla cream and fresh strawberry inside velvet crumbles garnishes with Chinese accent macaroons, priced at IDR1,088,000++ per pax (minimum two people).
