Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta invites wine connoisseurs to come to its Italian restaurant Rosso on 7 April at 6 PM for a delectable feast presenting Australian wine craftsmanship. Priced at IDR 888,000 ++ per person, guests can enjoy Chef Gianfranco Pirrone’s five-course dinner, which is paired with an exceptional wine selection from Vasse Felix, Margaret River.
The feast will begin with antipasti and continue with Trio di Stuzzichini - tomato, mozarella bruschetta, broccoli flan and prawn skewer - paired with Vasse Felix Fillius, Chardonnay 2014, followed by Tarttar di Salmone e Tartufo - salmon tartar and white truffle essence - paired with Vasse Felix Heytesbury, Chardonnay 2011.
Rosso, famous its authentic Southern Italian cuisine, will also serve Risotto ai Porcini e Quaglia - risotto with porcini mushroom and quail – which will be paired with Vasse Felix Estate, Caberrnet Sauvignon 2014 and Pasta Ravioli allo Zafferano con coda di Bue e crema di Bufala - a homemade saffron ravioli filled with oxtail in cream buffalo cheese sauce – that will be served with Vasse Felix ‘Heytesburry’ Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec 2009.
Chef Franco will also whip up a special meat dish called Gamberoni in crosta di Parmigiano e guancia di Manzo - tiger prawns in parmesan crust served with eggplant cake and beef cheek with mixed mushroom sauteed and parmesan spinach. This course will be accompanied by a glass of Vasse Felix Estate, Shiraz 2012.
The dinner will end with a decadent Mousse e Gelato allo Champagne, mousse and ice cream champagne.
