As Sanur is famous for its sunrises, Andaz Bali has opened their breakfast experience (starting early in the morning) so more can take in that easy-going Sanur atmosphere.
Since it opened, the all-new Andaz Bali has piqued the interest of many Bali residents and would-be visitors, as the latest addition to Sanur. With its refined take on a Balinese village, with sprawling gardens and regionally-inspired design, it has captured the charm of the neighbourhood it calls home.
Breakfast is served at Wok Wok, a restaurant that serves Indonesian comfort food. Starting from 6.30am and continuing until 11.00am, it's a long and leisurely breakfast for those who like to take things low and slow in the morning. Seating is available inside the restaurant, or outdoors for those who want to enjoy the lush surrounding of Village Square as they nibble away.
Served a la carte style, breakfast at Wok Wok is curated selections of Indonesian and International flavours with a premium touch.
The most sought after dish, Soto Madura, is made from braised Australian beef shank, while the classic French Toast gets a local makeover with the addition of homemade coconut ice cream on top.
A homage to Sanur, wish remains a fishing village to this day, the Andaz chefs prepare daily a Catch of the Day. Juice shots change on a daily basis to keep flavours – and expectations – fresh, the steamy aroma of baked bread wafts through the air as pastry chefs circulate with bread baskets.
“People often overlook hotel breakfast and think all breakfast is the same, but at Andaz we want our guests to come back just for the breakfast,” says Chef Agung Suryandita, Chef de Cuisine of Wok Wok. “We have a healthy mix of local, familiar flavours but also some surprising dish like Prawn Omelette, vegan Bibimpbap, and Babi Guling Rillette.”
Beyond the already extensive a la carte menu, breakfast guests are welcome to explore the array of cold cuts, fresh juices, jamu and dairy offerings on display at the resort’s Deli & Bakery, or pick out fresh pastries and bread from the neighbouring Blue Oven.
For the coffee lovers, Wok Wok serves Expat Roasters, a favourite Bali-based brand; and teas from Made Tea are prepared fresh at the bar, or are even available for takeaway.
The breakfast is open for in-house guests and the public, priced at only IDR 290,000 ++ per adult. On the weekends, the breakfast takes a more indulgent turn with complimentary bubbly cocktails (Bellini, Mimosa, etc) until 11am, available at an additional IDR 160.000++, with a total net price of IDR 544.500 per adult.
Breakfast includes access to the swimming pool as well. After breakfast, the restaurant is also open for lunch until 3:00 PM serving authentic Indonesian fare.
