Four Hotels in Jakarta to Enjoy An Authentic Thanksgiving Meal

It’s Thanksgiving this Thursday, 22 November! For those looking for a place to celebrate this classic American holiday, here are a few options in hotels around the city!

The Hotel’s culinary team has prepared a Turkey-To-Go package that is available with all the delicious trimmings including Roast Potatoes, Buttered Brussels Sprouts, and Cranberry Sauce. The Whole Roasted Canadian Turkey package is priced at IDR 2,788,000++.

Turkey-To-Go is also available in the premium full package that include more vegetable sides of Buttered Brussels Sprouts and Roast Pumpkin, more sauce selections include Giblet gravy and Creamed Mustard Sauce, as well as desserts, Classic Christmas Pudding with Brandy. The Premium Full Package Roast Turkey is priced at IDR 3,988,000++ suitable for large parties.

For red meat aficionados, Fairmont Jakarta to-go packages also serve Christmas Roast New Zealand Rack of Lamb served with Bread Rolls and Lamb Jus and the traditional Beef Wellington. Fairmont Jakarta also offers a wide range of Thanksgiving and festive goodies for those guests who may have a different size of celebrations at their homes. One can choose individual soup selections, potato sides, vegetable and sauces.

Sides include Forest Mushroom Soup, Lentil and Chestnut Soup, and Butternut Brown Butter Cream Soup. Potato dishes on offer are Creamed Potato, Potato Gratin, and Roast Potato, each in 500 gram servings. There are selections of Buttered Brussels Sprouts, Maple Glazed Carrots, Grilled Green Asparagus, Sautéed French Beans with Bacon, Roast Pumpkin and Pan Fried Mushroom with Garlic. Diners can also choose from a range of sauces including Giblet gravy, Onion Gravy, Creamed Mustard Sauce, Bread Sauce and Red Wine Jus.

Festive celebrations are not complete without the presence of mouth-watering desserts such as Classic Christmas pudding with Brandy, Pecan Pie, Christmas Yule Log and Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake which are all available for retail purchase.

Thanksgiving Treats at Grand Hyatt Jakarta

For this year Thanksgiving celebration, Grand Hyatt has special dining occasion where the guest could find it at the hotels cafe and restaurants. On 22 November, Grand Café will feature Thanksgiving feast in dinner buffet with a price at  IDR 380,000++ and IDR 190,000++ for children under 12 years old. The Thanksgiving signature of traditional herb rubbed oven roasted turkey with dried fruit stuffing and giblet gravy are available at the cafe, alongside with a sweet delicacies such as cranberry jelly and homemade cherry, apple and pumpkin pies.

During the one day celebration, Grand Café also provides festive takeaway menu which can be having at home. Family could order an array of dishes such as oven-roasted turkey with traditional Thanksgiving sides, honey-glazed ham with potato gratin and vegetables, as well as Beef Wellington. Roast US beef sirloin with mashed potatoes and vegetables and salmon en croute with rice pilaf and vegetables are also smart option. The take away menu also includes cherry, apple & raisin, and pumpkin pie.

The set menu can be enjoyed for IDR 885,000++ per person.

At the restaurant,diners  can choose Thanksgiving-inspired meals such as the traditional roast turkey with all the  trimmings, American slow-cooked BBQ beef, salmon en croute, and Austrian roast duck.

Other than that, an apple and pumpkin pie are specially featured in the buffet.
