On 10 October 2019, the Gala Night of the NOW! Bali Best Restaurant Bar and Café Awards (BRBCA) was held, officially closing the 2019 campaign to find the island’s favourite and most popular food and beverage venues.
The Gala Night was held at the International Conference Center (IC Center) Bali, hosting 300 of the island’s top hospitality industry representatives who were there to join in the celebrations for the winners and runners up of this island-wide campaign, which this year celebrated its 5th year.
The evening commenced with a welcome from Founder of IC Center Bali, Mr. Jimmy Gunawan; Publisher of NOW! and Founder of Phoenix Communications, Alistair Speirs, OBE; and President Director of American Express Indonesia, Ibu Perriz Azwir.
Since 2017, American Express has been the Official Card of the Best Restaurant Bar and Café Awards in both Bali and Jakarta, supported by BCA.
Throughout the night, awards were handed to winners and runners up over 20 restaurant categories as part of the online, public voting campaign, whilst additional special awards were handed out to Editor’s Choice and Industry Choice winners. All awardees received a Wedgewood Trophy Plate produced by PT. Doulton.
Among the entertainment, guests were also given a chance to win a two-return to tickets on Malayasia Airlines, as well as taking parts in on-stage games, Best Dressed competitions and more.
The evening was supported by Two Islands wine, Beervana, Boca Espresso, Bali Moon, Paletas Wey, Bamboo Blonde and Volcom Indonesia.
