The Jakarta Culinary Feastival (JCF) 2018 returns this year, featuring a line up of culinary superstars from around the region. From
1 to 4 November at Senayan City, the event, a collaboration between Ismaya Live and Go-Food, celebrates the four main pillars: taste, sip, learning, and fun.
Culinary enthusiasts are sure to delight in JCF’s offerings once again. Various programmes such as masterclasses, a Chef’s Table Experience—where visitors will be treated to a menu created by a celebrity chef—and talkshows with culinary stars both local and international, live cooking demonstrations, and of course live music.
Chefs, baristas, mixologists, and F&B experts including the chef from Michelin Starred restaurants will grace the festival. Among of them are Manjunath Mural from Song of India restaurant (Singapore), Runner-up of MasterChef Australia 2017 Ben Ungermann, Chef Eelke Plasmeijer from Locavore restaurant, Chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajoh from Le Du restaurant (Thailand), Agung Prabowo from The Old Man Hong Kong, and David Ong from The Curator Coffee & Cocktails Bar from Manila. For foodies under 18, there is “Revo’s Cooking Class for Teens!” led by Junior MasterChef Indonesia, Revo.
For the first time, JCF will hold “The Chef Hunt” for those who have less than two years of professional cooking experience. Two winners of this programme will receive a partial scholarship from Le Cordon Bleu and other prizes.
GO-FOOD will also present Foodielab, an interactive installation where users can find out information from lists on GO-FOOD. There will also be a Go-Food Festival in the Spoon Tent.
This year’s JCF also will also promote “We The Change”, a campaign to protect the environment which invites everyone to use stainless straw as part of its efforts to reduce plastic.
