Jakarta’s dining scene welcomes a new highlight this season as Tom’s by Tom Aikens at the Langham, Jakarta introduces Noches Argentina, a limited-time culinary journey inspired by the rich traditions of Argentina.
Running from 23 January to 17 February 2026, the event promises an elegant showcase of South American flavours, premium Wagyu cuts, and carefully selected Argentinian wines—all enjoyed from the 62ⁿᵈ floor with sweeping views of the city.
Curated by Chef Diego, Noche Argentino unfolds as a dining journey that carries the essence of Buenos Aires into Jakarta, such as Malbec-reduced beef with herb and lemon; Choripan, a classic Argentinian grilled beef chorizo served in a crusty baguette with criolla sauce and Argentinian Chipa, crisp cheese puffs complemented by honey mustard. These small plates set the tone for a menu that celebrates Argentina’s comfort food, elevated with refined technique.
The highlight of the experience is the Argentinian Wine Package, featuring Wagyu cuts prepared over open flame and paired with Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Malbec 2022. Options include Wagyu Picana (200g) with two glasses of Malbec, Wagyu Bife de Chorizo (500g) with four glasses, and Wagyu Bife Ancho con Hueso (1kg) accompanied by a full bottle. These pairings were offered exclusively during the wine-pairing evenings on 23 and 24 January, while the following dates continue with a refined set menu dinner.
Adding cultural significance, the opening night was distinguished by the presence of His Excellency Gustavo Ricardo Coppa, Ambassador of Republic of Argentina to Indonesia, whose attendance underscore the authenticity of the occasion and highlights the connection between Argentina’s culinary heritage and Jakarta’s cosmopolitan dining scene.
Chef Diego reflected on the experience, “Argentinian cuisine is about family, fire, patience, and respect for ingredients. With Noche Argentina, I wanted to bring not only the flavours of my home, but also the emotion behind the table, where food is meant to be shared, stories are told, and wine flows naturally.”
More than a dinner, Noche Argentina brought Argentina’s culinary soul to Jakarta, leaving guests with flavours that lingered.
