Ramadan 2026 marks Embers Open-Fire Grill’s first foray into the season. From 19 February to 19 March, the restaurant at the Sky Lobby of Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan presents Omah Tandang, a breaking-of-the-fast programme grounded in Nusantara flavours and open-fire cooking.
For diners planning Ramadan evenings, relevance matters. Jakarta’s iftar options often lean either heavily ceremonial or overtly casual; Embers positions itself in between. After nearly a year of operation, the restaurant uses its first Ramadan to focus on what already defines it with cooking over fire, deliberate menus, and meals designed to be shared.
The theme Omah Tandang draws from the tradition of visiting relatives’ homes during the holy month. The idea translates on the plate with Nusantara dishes grounding the experience, prepared using Embers’ open-fire approach and served as complete iftar sets. Gilles Tressens, General Manager of Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan, explains, “With the theme Omah Tandang we aim to offer tradition and roots of the local culture. Being able to celebrate with relatives and friends is the purpose of this sharing moment.”
Guests may choose from a selection of Nusantara main course packages, each priced at IDR 288,000++ per person. Options include Ayam Bakar Lengkuas with galangal and spices, Rawon Daging made from selected kluwek, Embers’ signature Buntut Bakar prepared slowly over open fire, and Ikan Bakar Rica-Rica served with aromatic sambal. Each package comes with complimentary takjil and traditional breaking-fast drinks.
For larger gatherings, an Iftar Buffet at Embers Open-Fire Grill is available at IDR 288,000++ per person, with a minimum booking of 30 guests. A separate buffet option is offered at the Osaka Function Room, priced at IDR 314,000++ per person, also for groups of 30 or more, catering to corporate iftars and private events that require space without sacrificing food quality.
Those looking to begin the evening lightly may opt for the Special Takjil Package, priced at IDR 75,000++ per person. It includes three sweet items, three savoury items, banana kolak, and a range of traditional iced beverages, suitable as a standalone option or as an addition to the main meal.
The programme also carries a charitable dimension. For every guest dining under Omah Tandang, IDR 10,000 is donated to A Trust for A Child Foundation (ATFAC), extending the act of sharing beyond the table.
