Citadines Café at Citadines Gatot Subroto Jakarta has launched Flavours of The City, a refreshed menu that puts familiar Indonesian flavours alongside international comfort-food favourites. Available from August 2026, the new selection covers shareable plates, substantial mains, coffee, drinks and desserts, giving hotel residents, office workers and nearby diners another reason to stop in whether the plan is breakfast, lunch or an afternoon coffee that somehow turns into dinner.

Familiar food is useful. Eating the same familiar food every week is less exciting. Citadines Café keeps the comfort-food appeal, then gives both Indonesian favourites and café staples enough of a twist to stop the menu feeling predictable.

That approach is particularly apparent in the chef’s recommendations. The Gatsu Snack Platter gathers several shareable bites onto one plate, aimed squarely at tables where ordering “something small” usually becomes a group activity. Pecak Gurame brings crispy gourami together with traditional pecak sauce, while Nasi Lemak Rendang pairs fragrant coconut rice with slow-cooked rendang and its familiar mix of spices.

Dessert has no interest in being sensible. The café’s Choco Lava arrives warm with a molten chocolate centre, while handcrafted beverages and a broader coffee selection give you two ways to finish, lean into the sugar or call in the caffeine. “With Flavours of The City, we want every guest to discover the spirit of the city through local flavours, comforting dishes, and memorable experiences,” says Abdurahman, Sous Chef.

The menu also makes sense for a cafe that has to keep pace from breakfast onwards, located within Citadines Gatot Subroto Jakarta, the coffee-and-eatery concept serves hotel residents and outside visitors, with seating that works just as well for a quick breakfast as it does for a laptop-heavy meeting or a coffee catch-up that runs longer than planned.

Citadines Gatot Subroto Jakarta is part of The Ascott Limited and operates under the serviced-residence model. Its wider For The Love of Cities concept shows up in the less glamorous details too, with sustainability measures incorporated into café operations and the property’s broader green-apartment practices.

For diners curious about how Jakarta flavours translate onto an all-day café menu, Flavours of The City is now available at Citadines Café, Citadines Gatot Subroto Jakarta.
