Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites strengthened its commitment to supporting Indonesia’s creative industry through its latest collaboration with fashion designer Didiet Maulana. On 17 October 2026, the hotel hosted a fashion workshop attended by 150 participants, providing aspiring designers and creative entrepreneurs with practical insights into fashion product development and responsible design practices.

The workshop, titled Unclock Your Creative Potential: From Concept to Fashion Product, was held at the hotel’s ballroom as part of the Jadi Gini Belajar Bersama (JGBB) Fashion programme. This marked the second time Didiet Maulana has selected Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites to host the event.

The collaboration also supported the hotel’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) programme, The Art of Goodness, which focuses on sustainability, education and community development. Through the workshop, the hotel sought to promote responsible fashion practices while providing local designers and creative entrepreneurs with opportunities to develop their skills..

Led by Didiet Maulana, Creative Director of  IKAT Indonesia, alongside Zahra Damayanti, Textile Designer at IKAT Indonesia, the session introduced participants to the stages of fashion product development. Topics covered moodboard creation, mind mapping, colour coordination, fabric selection, fashion illustration and product presentation. Participants also explored anticipated colour and fashion trends for 2027, providing a useful reference for those planning future collections.

The workshop welcomed local designers, creative enthusiasts and representatives of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), offering opportunities to develop their skills, exchange ideas and gain a clearer understanding of the design process.

“We are delighted to welcome Didiet Maulana and JGBB Fashion back to Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites. Seeing the enthusiasm of participants eager to learn and develop their creativity is encouraging,” said Faisal Tranggono, General Manager of Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites.

“Through our ESG initiative, The Art of Goodness, we hope to continue supporting activities that benefit local creative communities, including designers and MSMEs, while encouraging a more responsible approach to the fashion industry,” he added.

Located on Jalan Gatot Subroto, Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites offers meeting rooms, ballroom facilities and event spaces for corporate gatherings, workshops and creative collaborations. Its continued partnership with JGBB Fashion demonstrates how these facilities can accommodate educational initiatives that bring industry professionals and emerging talent together.

Through The Art of Goodness, Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites plans to continue hosting programmes that support local creative communities, promote sustainable practices and provide opportunities for collaboration within Indonesia’s creative industry.
