Indonesia’s first city-wide cocktail festival will make its debut in the capital from 24 to 28 November 2026. Jakarta Cocktail Week (JCW) will bring around 20 international guest bars from nine Asian countries and territories to 20 of Jakarta’s bar counters, alongside masterclasses, late-night after-parties, and a one-day festival at Sudirman Hall, SCBD.

Led by a committee of bar owners, bartenders and hospitality figures, the festival is about opening doors: between bars, between cities, and the connections between those who gather for a drink.

Why Jakarta Cocktail Week, and Why Now

The festival’s vision is to position Jakarta as a leading cocktail destination in Southeast Asia, with four distinct goals: Grow domestic cocktail culture and consumption, empower the next generation of Indonesian bartenders, build a sustainable annual platform for the industry, and draw F&B and leisure travellers to the city.

“Jakarta has developed an incredibly exciting cocktail scene, with talented bartenders and bars that deserve greater international recognition,” said Stefanie Wijono, JCW Organising Committee Member and Deputy Marketing & PR Director at The Union Group. “We believe this is the right moment to bring the industry together and create something that represents Jakarta as a whole.”

Andra Satar, Co-Founder of The Golden Tooth and Salty Fish, said the festival’s aim is to “give people more reasons to discover the city’s bars, create opportunities for our local bartenders, and build stronger connections between Indonesia and the international cocktail community.”

Hartono “Ono” Moe, Co-Founder of OSMO by TOMA Group, wants the ambition to extend beyond the capital. “As Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta should also be a place where talent from different cities can come together, share their creativity, and connect with the world,” he shared.

Other committee members come from the industry, including: Mirwansyah “Bule”, Banjo Tasning, Hadi Ismanto, Demitria Ramona, Jed Doble and Niko Idham Kholid.

Road to JCW and Festival Partners

Ahead of the festival, participating bars will serve at least one Road to JCW cocktail from 1 to 28 November.

Ahead of Jakarta Cocktail Week, participating bars will serve at least one Road to JCW cocktail from 1 to 28 November, giving drinkers a preview of the festival before it begins. Modernhaus offers the 50/50 Vesper, a riff on the classic that pairs Lillet and gin with an Italian bitter distillate and a bergamot mist. The Golden Tooth serves The Bitchy One, built on Singleton 12 year old with vanilla, peach and green tea, then carbonated. Hats leans local with the Indo Lady, which combines 1800 Silver with arack pandan, Indonesian jasmine black tea and citrus, and arrives with a choice of Brats Creamside gelato marmalade or an edible bath bomb.

Cocktail Village at Sudirman Hall

On Friday, 27 November, the Cocktail Village takes over Sudirman Hall at Sequis Tower, SCBD. The one-day event brings together cocktails, the bartenders behind them, and a mix of food, music and entertainment. Brand booths will serve cocktails from bars across Indonesia, alongside food booths from local F&B partners.

The Cocktail Village will also host the Star Bar, manned by prominent local bartenders and Hong Kong’s Bar Leone, named The World’s Best Bar 2026. All profits from Star Bar sales will go to charity.

Masterclasses and panel discussions will take place before the Cocktail Village opens. Indra Kantono of Jigger & Pony in Singapore and Jon Lee of Penrose in Kuala Lumpur will lead masterclasses, while Ray Janson will moderate the panels.
