Welcoming Ramadan, InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah is rolling out a month-long series of dining experiences, guest chef collaborations, afternoon tea, omakase dinners, festive hampers, and celebration cakes, to cater to the many gatherings and celebrations during this holy month.

The hotel’s all-dining venue, Sugar & Spice, grounds their Iftar Buffet on familiarity and comfort. Running throughout the month, this offering presents Indonesian and international dishes made with seasonal produce to ensure their freshness and based on well-loved recipes. As Eid approaches, the promotion transitions into a special Eid Buffet intended for family gatherings, while Halal Bihalal buffets are available for lunch and dinner, catering to post-Ramadan reunions and corporate occasions.

One of the season’s defining moments is “Taste of the Archipelago”, a guest chef collaboration at Sugar & Spice led by Arief Rachman. With over two decades of experience, he works from a philosophy he calls “Nostalgic Yet Dynamic”, drawing on Indonesian home cooking while applying contemporary technique. During Ramadan, the menu moves across regional flavours from the archipelago, reshaping heritage recipes for iftar, shared family meals, and unhurried evenings.

For quieter daytime meetings, The Lounge introduces a Ramadan Afternoon Tea. Served in a relaxed setting, the experience centres on savoury bites and light sweets, making it a practical choice for conversations to welcome the breaking of the fast.

Those seeking a more focused culinary format can turn to SHIO, which offersa six-course Iftar Omakase exclusively during Ramadan. The menu highlights seasonal ingredients and Japanese technique, structured as a paced dining journey that suits smaller groups and intentional meals after sunset.

Beyond the table, the hotel extends its Ramadan offering through a Signature Hampers Collection, aimed at gifting during the month and ahead of Eid. The Royal Crescent hamper anchors the range through a collaboration with BINhouse, founded by textile designer Josephine Komara. The hamper incorporates a bespokebatik-inspired element that reflects contemporary Indonesian craftsmanship. The full collection includes Royal Crescent at IDR 5,888,000++, Celestial Glow at IDR 2,988,000++, Golden Crescent at IDR 1,588,000++, and Silver Moon at IDR 888,000++, each curated for different personal and professional gifting needs.

Completing the season are Ramadan Celebration Cakes, available throughout the period for those hosting at home or adding a centrepiece to smaller gatherings.
