Indonesia’s leading culinary event, Ubud Food Festival 2020 Presented by ABC returns for its sixth year this 26 to 28 June (rescheduled from 17 to 19 April), presenting a full line-up of over 90 chefs, restaurateurs, farmers, food writers, researchers and more over three event-filled days.

The Ubud Food Festival (UFF) presents an experience that brings you up close and personal with the culinary world. Through a series of cooking demos, special events, food tours, masterclasses, spread over 30 venues in Ubud, the annual event showcases the depth, expertise and creativity that goes into this booming industry. “When we’re eating, we tend to forget that there’s a story behind every food item, every meal, every cuisine,” says UFF Founder and Director Janet DeNeefe.

This year, with their theme ‘Heroes’, the limelight is shone on the people behind the food. The theme aims to emphasise that food is not simply about what’s on the plate, it is the journey of an individual’s passion, the fruits of a bustling industry and the story of many cultures. The focus on these culinary heroes will foster a great appreciation for what happens in the kitchen, in the farms and behind the scenes.
