Bintan has no shortage of places for a seaside escape, and Club Med Bintan brings its all-inclusive resort experience to the island with everything from beach days and sports to dining and kids’ activities. With over 20 sports and activities, dedicated spaces for children, and dining and entertainment included throughout the stay, families can spend more time enjoying the resort and less time planning what to do next. Now, the resort is taking that experience further with new spaces, redesigned rooms and fresh activities as part of its latest refresh.
The rooms are getting their own refresh, with the Superior, Deluxe and Suite categories being redesigned through the end of 2026. Inspired by Bintan’s natural surroundings, the interiors bring in natural elements and rich Indonesian textures, while the new Deluxe Themed Rooms offer a more playful option for families looking for something different.

Younger guests have their own spot at the Splash Pad in the main resort centre. Across the property, the line-up includes Club Med staples such as the Flying Trapeze and archery, alongside Padel and Pickleball and a range of water sports. With so many options available, the days can be as active or relaxed as families like, with many opportunities to try something new.

The Epic Explorer Trail adds another way to explore the resort. Families receive an Explorer’s Passport and follow clues through nature towards hidden sculptures around the grounds. Once the trail is complete, they can return to collect their stamps and receive a surprise of the day. The Amazing Family! corner offers another way to keep those holiday memories, with travel journals that families can fill with moments from their stay.
One of the standout additions is the Amazing Family! Hub, Club Med’s first in Asia. The 300-square-metre space includes an indoor playground, curated activity areas, interactive games and relaxing lounge spaces for different ages. Shared games, active play and discovery give families enough reasons to spend time here together.

The dining spaces are also getting an update. The Panorama Barista Bar has been revitalised with views overlooking the South China Sea, while the Terrace Gourmet Club pairs authentic local flavours with French-inspired against a beach backdrop. And for those who like taking a little piece of a holiday home, French designer Mathilde Cabanas has created resort wear and resort gear for Club Med, including limited-edition collectibles made especially for Club Med Bintan, Club Med Kani and Club Med Phuket. The collection is available at the resorts’ boutiques.

Rachael Harding, CEO of Club Med Southeast Asia and Pacific, says the changes are about creating a better experience for families travelling together. “This transformation at Club Med Bintan is all about creating spaces that bring families closer together and celebrate the destination’s unique charm,” she said. “We are blending thoughtful design with our signature all-inclusive model to offer multi-generational families a true haven. Our goal is to ensure every aspect of the experience, from the design of our new spaces to activities, delivers a seamless, completely hassle-free holiday experience where parents and children alike can immerse themselves in the spirit of play and freedom.”

And there is more coming. By 2027, the resort is set to welcome a refreshed Kids Club, with immersive play environments designed to spark curiosity, unleash creativity and encourage discovery through Club Med’s signature kids club programming. The Grill Gourmet Club will also join the resort’s dining line-up as a sophisticated communal space for shared meals.
While the resort continues to evolve, the design remains closely tied to Bintan. Natural materials, textures and colours inspired by the island’s lush landscape and ecosystem feature throughout the renovation, with light, shadows and whimsical details adding character to the spaces. Sustainability also remains part of the picture. Club Med Bintan is a Green Globe Certified Resort, with initiatives including the elimination of single-use plastics, an on-site turtle conservation programme and a food-waste reduction system.
With the refresh continuing through 2027, Club Med Bintan is becoming an even more complete family escape, with enough to keep different ages entertained while still leaving room for the simple pleasure of being by the sea.
