Turkuaz, Jakarta’s most popular restaurant for authentic Turkish cuisine, recently unveiled its new Private Sultan Room, catering to food lovers across the city looking for an intimate dining experience in true Ottoman style.

Dining Like A Sultan

Dubbed as the most exclusive private room in Jakarta, one of the walls is decorated with rows of original Turkish bank bonds – even  including bank bonds from the Ottoman Empire era – while  crystal chandeliers sparkle on the ceiling. The elegant wooden dining table and red chairs convey a nostalgic and romantic atmosphere. However, the most stunning ornament and centerpiece  of the Private Sultan Room is a 300-year-old Ottoman carpet,  covering the whole right wall and “watched over” by a 19th century Persian warrior armour on its side—it can’t get any more authentic than this!

The room can accommodate up to 14 people with a minimum consumption of IDR 10 million. It will be money well spent, as diners will have the chance to indulge in the mouth-watering Meze Tabaği, Gavurdaği Salatasi, Findik Lahmacun, and many more Turkish specialties – just like the sultans of the Ottoman Empire did.
