COMO Uma Canggu is a beachside haven situated away from the bustle of Bali’s busier locales, making it an ideal destination for a family get together.
In February 2019, the resort will be celebrating Lunar New Year with a series of exciting events, including a lively schedule of fun-filled ‘Play by COMO’ activities, evenings spent feasting under starry skies, and traditional dances to welcome in the ‘Year of the Pig’.
From February 4th to 6th, while parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts take the opportunity for some well-deserved relaxation, children can stay active with a range of Play by COMO activities centred around the Lunar New Year celebration. These include preparing and tossing a ‘yu sheng’ (‘good luck’) salad, interactive storytelling, and making lion and dragon puppets for a traditional evening performance.
On February 5th, families can come together to enjoy a Lunar New Year feast, with a fusion of Balinese and Chinese cuisine. The courses are themed around the symbolism of each dish – thought to bring luck and happiness to you in the new year. This enriching meal will feature Asian specialities such as chicken dumpling soup and Peking duck pancakes, finishing with an indulgent Macau Portuguese egg tart. Dinner will be followed by a traditional Chinese Dragon dance to welcome in the new year as the sun sets.
