If Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta is on your list this October, there are a few things worth knowing about. Something sweet comes with a good cause through the hotel’s Pink October collaboration with Lovepink Indonesia, while Friday evenings at Cinnamon explore the flavours of Bali and eastern Indonesia with Rame Rame Buffet: Bali & Beyond.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the hotel is collaborating with Lovepink Indonesia (Yayasan Daya Dara Indonesia) for its Pink October campaign, running from 1 to 31 October 2026. The month-long initiative invites guests to take part through a selection of pink-inspired creations, with a percentage of proceeds from selected products donated to Lovepink to support its programmes and initiatives.

At Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop, the Cake of the Month will be available daily throughout October, while Sundays bring Strawberry Danish and Pink Cupcake to the hotel’s Car Free Day booth at the main entrance. The selection offers an easy way to support the campaign while enjoying something made in the hotel’s pastry kitchen.

Behind the initiative is Lovepink Indonesia, a non-profit organisation dedicated to educating, empowering and supporting individuals affected by breast cancer across Indonesia. Its work spans awareness, education, early detection and community support, including programmes for breast cancer warriors and survivors, with the wider aim of encouraging greater understanding of breast health.

As the weekend approaches, Friday evenings at Cinnamon take a culinary turn with Rame Rame Buffet: Bali & Beyond, the latest edition of Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta’s signature Friday evening buffet series. Available from October to December 2026, the experience draws on the culinary heritage of Bali and the islands of eastern Indonesia, bringing regional specialities, aromatic spices and time-honoured cooking techniques to the table.

Among the dishes to look out for is Bebek Betutu Gilimanuk, featuring slow-roasted duck served with cassava leaves and sambal mbe, while Sate Lilit Ikan pairs chargrilled minced fish satay with long beans and raw chilli relish. Ayam Taliwang brings a spicy Lombok-style preparation served with tortilla and Sasak salsa dressing, followed by Udang Bakar Jimbaran, where charcoal-grilled prawns are seasoned with aromatic Jimbaran spices.

Alongside the regional specialities, diners can also make their way through an unlimited signature à la carte selection, with dishes served directly to the table, as well as an extensive buffet featuring a variety of Western dishes. With Indonesian favourites and international selections available side by side, the spread is well suited to family gatherings and social occasions where everyone can follow their own appetite.

Available every Friday evening from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Cinnamon, Rame Rame Buffet: Bali & Beyond runs from October through December 2026 and is priced at IDR 428,000++ per person.
