Indonesia’s most renowned jazz festival, the Jakarta BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024 returns this year for its 19th edition from 24 May – 26 May 2024 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran. With the theme “Embracing Unity Through Music”, this festival aims to foster connection and unity through the universal language of music. The lineup includes a diverse list of Indonesian and international performers, showcasing various musical influences and fusion of styles across 11 different stages.
Presented by PT. Java Festival Production headed by Dewi Gontha, the Java Jazz Festival 2024 will feature a mix of established and emerging artists that perfectly embodies the festival’s ethos of inclusivity and musical harmony. The list of performers are star-studded with a lineup of Grammy Award winners and jazz legends. From acclaimed artists such as Icelandic jazz singer-songwriter Laufey, renowned soul singer Snoh Aalegra, soulful crooner October London, to the innovative drummer The Yussef Dayes Experience. Special guest appearances include legendary trumpeter Randy Brecker and Grammy-winning Brazilian soprano and pianist Eliane Elias.
The festival also highlights emerging talents like the South Korean electronic jazz fusion duo 92914 and the funk group Scary Pockets. From intimate jazz performances to dynamic collaborations, the festival promises an unforgettable experience for music lovers. The festival will also showcase a wide range of Indonesian talent, including Project Pop, ArumtaLa, Allan Andrsn & Key B, and Ardhito Pramono, among others. Additionally, there will be impromptu collaborations highlighting the ability of music to transcend barriers, featuring artists like Gary Anthony, Ron King Big Band, and Paul Brown.
Ticket prices for this festival starts at IDR 850,000 per day; 3 day pass tickets for IDR 1,975,00 and Laufey Special Show of IDR 400,000.
