Beginning in January 2017, the Crowne Plaza Jakarta hotel will undergo extensive refurbishments, taking place in several phases over two years and expected to be complete in 2018. The renovations affect the hotel’s facade and 357 guest rooms that include deluxe rooms, grand deluxe rooms, club suites and the presidential suite.

The hotel’s all-day dining restaurant Beranda Cafe will also undergo an overhaul, with plans to add elegant show kitchens, contemporary buffet layout and extended seating. The six meeting rooms and grand ballroom with a capacity for 800 people will be improved and equipped with the latest audio-visual technology. The Crowne Plaza is part of a mixed use development which also includes a retail mall and residential apartment complex Mangkuluhur City that features office spaces, a spa, wellness and entertainment centers as well as food and beverage outlets catering to a wide range of palates and preferences. This renovation is part of the hotel’s aim to achieve greater business and offer a better experience to both its business and leisure guests. It also supports the Indonesian government’s aim to double the number of visitor arrivals over the next four years.
