Goethe-Institut Indonesien Lecture & Discussion: Hannah Arendt Interpreting Immanuel Kant

Goethe-Institut Indonesien, in collaboration with STF Driyarkara, continues the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Hannah Arendt’s passing with a special lecture titled “On Imagination and Sensus Communist as the Foundation of Politics: Hannah Arendt Interpreting Immanuel Kant.” 

Dr. Fitzgerald K. Sitorus will lead the session, with philosophy researcher and lecturer Maulida Sri Handayani as the moderator. The lecture will highlight how Arendt, influenced by Kant, developed distinct perspectives on politics that resonate with today’s global challenges, addressing themes of power, collective action, and the role of the public sphere.

The lecture will take place on Friday, 19 September 2025, at 06:00 PM, at Erasmus Huis, South Jakarta.
