Held on 7 Dec. 2018, the event upheld the mission of the foundation: “To provide direct and on-going assistance to Indonesian children in need, with a focus on meeting their basic nutritional, shelter and educational requirements.”

The highlight of the evening was the Charity Auction, with 21 items on the live bid going under the hammer. NOW!JAKARTA

Hosted by Stewart Hall, the founder and chairman of the foundation and his golf committee, the event was attended by a selected 100 keen golfers (and extremely generous donors!) including senior business executives from various industries. The golfers came majority from Jakarta, with some players flew specially from Bali, Singapore, Hong Kong and even all the way from Scotland to support this charity tournament!.. This event has become increasingly popular, year-by-year, and has been considered as one of the most anticipated events in Jakarta’s golfing calendar.

Most participants, including Martin Cole, President Director of Crown Worldwide, the Lead Sponsor for a number of years, commented that they are really pleased with this professionally organised event, with lots of surprises and fun, and even more so with the entire proceeds of the event being used to help a lot of children in need.

Using Four Man Team Texas Scramble format, the event required solid teamwork and all teams were in good spirit to deliver their best performance.

The highlight of the evening was the Charity Auction, with 21 items on the live bid going under the hammer. The various items included stays at a few fantastic hotels & villas in Bali, Solo, Jakarta, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Thailand and Japan. Autographed Rugby items, and an interesting painting. Not to forget special sessions of appreciation for the loyal sponsors and partners as well as players – some of whom have been supporting this event for 15 years, without fail!..

All in all, the entire programme was a big success. This year the tournament raised IDR 610,182,850 from sponsorships, ticket entries, auction – mainly, and donations. It exceeded last year’s result.

All proceeds from this year’s event will be going to some selected following charity projects which have been selected by the Committee.

Sponsors & partners for this event include : AEDAS, AIG, Alila Group, Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, Jakarta Land, Standard Chartered, Turkuaz, Warung Turki, Eurokars Motor Indonesia, Bali Moon, Cengkareng Golf Club, Eastern Promise, Starbucks and NOW! Jakarta as well as NOW! Bali as media partners. Plus some generous auction sponsors.

Everyone had a great time, and felt even better knowing that they had played a fun golf day, and at the same time supported such good causes and made a difference to the lives of young Indonesian children and underprivileged members of society.
