SAFF & Co. has launched The POSTOJNA Project at Fashion Atrium, Kota Kasablanka, expanding its POSTOJNA Extrait de Parfum into a multisensory exhibition featuring fragrance, visual art, music, VR and interactive scent experiences. The project brings the perfume’s Blue Hour concept into a physical space, giving visitors several ways to experience the ideas behind the scent.

POSTOJNA draws from the brief period of blue light before sunrise and the landscape of Slovenia’s Postojna Cave. Bulgarian perfumer Miroslav Petkov developed the fragrance with SAFF & Co., opening with Blue Apple, lilikoi and violet leaves before moving into muguet, pink pepper and maillette. Rockrose, hollow musk and sandalwood give the final stages a warmer, deeper character.

The concept continues through the bottle and packaging. Developed by SAFF & Co.’s in-house creative team, the design incorporates references to the cave’s resonant waves, the Blue Apple and its snow-white stalagmites, using cyanotype-inspired elements to echo the blue light behind the fragrance.

For a perfume label operating at a time when discovery increasingly happens through images, spaces and shared experiences as much as a first spray, SAFF & Co. has given POSTOJNA several points of entry. A short atmospheric film featuring Indonesian band RAN brings movement and music into the project, while the exhibition turns those ideas into something visitors can physically explore.

Immersive VR pods recreate Postojna Cave and the imagined world of the Blue Apple, while a dedicated Sniffing Experience lets visitors examine the fragrance itself. RAN will also perform live, adding another interpretation of the POSTOJNA concept through sound. The project continues SAFF & Co.’s six-year exploration of fragrance alongside other creative disciplines. The Indonesian fragrance house has previously worked with artists and illustrators on the visual identities surrounding its scents; POSTOJNA brings much of that process together within a single installation.

For those curious about what happens when perfume leaves the fragrance counter and enters an exhibition space, The POSTOJNA Project at Kota Kasablanka offers the opportunity to smell, see and move through the idea behind the bottle.
