This September, Jakarta offers many reasons to step out, but The Langham, Jakarta’s milestone anniversary deserves special attention. Over five years, the hotel has become a destination for dining, drinks, and city breaks. Its fifth year is marked by Savour the Art of Five, unfolding from 3 September to 1 October 2026.
The month starts at Artesian Bar Jakarta on 3 September, with Hong Kong’s Penicillin taking over for a night as part of ZEROSIPSGIVEN Vol. 6. The bar sits at #49 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 and #71 on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023, and is known for cocktails with a strong focus on sustainability. Agung Prabowo, Laura Prabowo and Nans will serve Penicillin’s drinks during the guest shift.
The dining rooms will see a series of guest-chef collaborations, starting on 9 and 10 September, when Tom’s by Tom Aikens welcomes Chef Matias from COPA. He will cook with Executive Chef Diego for a six-course menu inspired by Latin American flavours. Optional beverage pairings and signature creations from both chefs will also be available. At Morimoto Jakarta, Executive Chef Juntaro will work with Italian Chef Marco Miglioli of Fog Restaurant on 18 and 19 September. Their menu takes the form of an omakase, combining Japanese and Italian influences and served with sake.
T’ang Court Jakarta follows on 25 and 26 September, when Executive Chinese Chef Fang introduces new signature dishes across lunch and dinner. The menus come with wine pairings, while traditional tea ceremonies and live guzheng performances will take place during the meals. The last guest-chef dates are at ALICE by Tom Aikens, from 29 September to 1 October, with Chef Mauri taking over for an Italian-inspired menu. Lunch and dinner will include welcome aperitifs, signature cocktails and beverage pairings.
Staying overnight comes with its own anniversary perks. The 5th Anniversary Escape, available throughout September, gives guests booking a Deluxe Skyline Room and above 15% savings on accommodation. The package also includes 10% savings at Chuan Spa, 10% off Afternoon Tea at ALICE by Tom Aikens, and 5% savings across food and beverage.
At Chuan Spa, the anniversary has also brought about The Fifth Element Ritual, a 90-minute treatment based on the ancient Five Elements philosophy. It begins with a choice of one of five Element Oils, followed by a Chuan Harmony Massage that works on key meridian points. A Rose Aromatherapy Body Scrub and body crème round things out. The treatment costs IDR 1,855,000++ and is available exclusively during the anniversary period.
Since welcoming its first guests in 2021, The Langham, Jakarta has become part of the city’s luxury hotel landscape, known for its restaurants and bar as much as its design and service.
