ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan, in collaboration with Matalesoge HospitABLElity Academy, hosted a seminar titled ‘Expanding Awareness & Empathy in Autism Spectrum for an Inclusive Hospitality Industry’ on 19 June 2025. The seminar is part of Artotel’s The Art of Goodness programme, operating since 2022.
The event featured three speakers sharing stories about autism spectrum disorders: Tommy Hermanses (CEO of Matalesoge HospitABLEity Academy), Shopia Aradhu (Head of Inclusivity Programme & Parent of an Autism Artist), and Diella Gracia Martauli (Clinical Psychologist).

The initiative aimed to enhance awareness, understanding, and handling of how professionals can work alongside individuals with autism spectrum disorder, thereby encouraging the hospitality industry to create opportunities and equality through the talents and skills they possess.
As a concrete manifestation of this programme, ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan is offering employment opportunities for individuals with autism spectrum disorder in the Human Resources department as daily workers, who will be specially supervised by the relevant department head.

“We welcome and fully support this collaboration in line with the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) programme. We hope this initiative will have a positive impact on society, demonstrating that individuals with special needs can also live equally, work, and achieve success,” stated Oki Wibowo, Director of Human Resources at ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan – Jakarta.
Tommy Hermanses, CEO of Matalesoge HospitABLEity Academy, added, “Through the empowerment programme initiated by ARTOTEL Group, we are confident that these positive values can be shared through individuals, communities, and institutions to work together towards a shared vision of humanity.”
