Ascott Regional Jabotabek marked World Environmental Education Day with a dynamic programme at Trilogi University, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and community empowerment. In collaboration with Jakarta Berkebun and Trilogi Berkebun, the initiative united experts, academics, and local communities to advance environmental awareness through education and direct action.
From Ascott and Citadines to Oakwood, Somerset, Harris, Vertu, Yello, Pesona Alam, and The Botanica Sanctuary, more than 20 properties under The Ascott Limited portfolio gathered at the event. Their collective presence created a spirited atmosphere of cooperation, underscoring the belief that sustainability thrives when communities move forward together.

The programme began with an engaging session led by urban farming experts from Trilogi University. Participants explored practical techniques in cultivation, plant care, and sustainable harvesting—knowledge designed to flourish in Jakarta’s urban environment. The learning then moved outdoors, where Dr. Ahmad Rifqi Fauzi from the Center for Urban Agriculture Studies guided participants in planting avocado trees. Each carried symbolic meaning, representing nourishment, resilience, and stewardship for the years ahead.
To mark the occasion, an Ascott Cares signboard was unveiled at the site. More than a symbol, it stands as a lasting testament to Ascott’s commitment to sustainability and its partnership with the community.
