At their headquarters in Pluit, North Jakarta, PT Toffin Indonesia held an exclusive launch event for Caffè Vergnano, one of the oldest premium coffee brands from Italy. Marking its first foray into the Indonesian market, it brings with it a legacy of authentic Italian flavors that have stood the test of time since 1882.
Being a premium brand, Caffè Vergnano is known for its wide range of authentic Italian specialty coffees that are processed with high standards and quality in mind. As such, this launch event was designed with a unique futuristic concept, where not only did Toffin introduce Caffè Vergnano’s variations on classic blends, but also presented a creative collaboration of special food and dessert menus made from Vergnano coffee base ingredients.
In addition to introducing the product, this special event became an exclusive networking event to build relationships in the Indonesian premium coffee sector. Attended and enlivened by the country’s top celebrities, influencers, coffee distributors, and experts from the hospitality and culinary industries, Toffin also invited potential business partners to experience the distinctive taste of Caffè Vergnano firsthand.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) noted that Indonesians consumed 4.79 million bags of coffee (weighing 60kg per bag) in 2023/2024, while the GoddStat survey noted that 40% of respondents admitted to drinking 2 cups per day. With these figures and trends set to keep increasing into the future, Toffin holds optimism in Caffè Vergnano’s strong coffee culture background and ability to become a major player in this premium coffee segment.
“We are proud to be able to bring Caffè Vergnano to Indonesia through PT Toffin Indonesia as the official distributor,” said Jiebby Harold, Brand Director. “With a reputation as a trusted distributor that always curates and provides a variety of high-quality needs for coffee machines, kitchen tools, syrups, imported garnishes, and gelato, we believe that Caffè Vergnano will complement the needs of the premium coffee industry in Indonesia, both for retail customers and businesses in the food & beverage sector.”
Florencia Salim, Head of Sales, added, “The presence of Caffè Vergnano in Indonesia not only enriches the choice of premium coffee but also provides one taste of quality coffee for consumers. We believe that the combination of Italian heritage and modern approach will appeal to coffee lovers in Indonesia.”
With the presence of Caffè Vergnano, Indonesia can now experience true Italian premium coffee, thus bringing a tradition that has spanned more than 140 years directly to Indonesian tables.
