Answering Jakarta residents’ high enthusiasm for more outdoor destinations, Central Market PIK boasts a contemporary tropical lifestyle concept, presenting lush green landscapes in every corner of the structure to provide comfort to visitors, which is in line with the Back to Basic campaign.
Additionally, Central Market PIK utilises 60% of its energy from solar panels and a natural cross-ventilation system, where a biophilic design is applied to create a seamless blend between the building, nature, natural lighting and good air circulation.
The establishment also incorporates raw materials across its structure, including natural stone and reclaimed wood. The establishment has also been rewarded with a green building certificate for its efforts and commitment to care for the environment, the first one in PIK to do so. Furthermore, they also encourage tenants and visitors to support a sustainable ecosystem through the No Plastic campaign.
Green technology is further applied to the building with many open spaces including alfresco restaurants and a rooftop garden, while vertical gardens and green canopies provide a cooling effect to the building. Completing the open-air venue, it also has a pet park and kids’ playground, where families with children and pets can enjoy a relaxing and fun time. There is also an amphitheatre-style seating where visitors can indulge in an array of curated F&B tenants.
