Jakarta’s vibrant communal space Shophaus Mahakam welcomes two renowned F&B brands, Delizie and Gelato Secrets, adding brand new options for foodies and enlightening the culinary scene in the legendary dining hub Blok-M.
Shophaus Mahakam showcases a contemporary aesthetic, attracting visitors with its stylish industrial concept, and of course its curated selection of tenants. This three-storey building is a home for eateries, from sit-down restaurants to casual cafés, often referenced by guests as a cosy spot to meet up with friends.
Adding to the choices at Shophaus Mahakam are Delizie and Gelato Secrets, presenting diners with two fabulous Italian-inspired options, whether that’s for a complete dining experience or somewhere to enjoy sweet desserts and Italian coffee.
After opening its first café in the Berawa area of Bali in 2022, Delizie spreads the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a mouth-watering selection of its pastries, bread, and sweets in Jakarta.
“Our pastry chefs carefully craft each treat using heritage recipes and the finest ingredients. Delizie itself specialises in Italian-style pastries or sweet treats. Meanwhile, the menu at Delizie Jakarta will be more varied with the addition of the Panini, a classic Italian sandwich” explained Delizie Owner, Gregory Lentini.
Featuring a modernised ‘rustic-Italian; interior concept, Delizie is the perfect place for a quick breakfast, a relaxing afternoon, or to end the day with a cup of Espresso or Cappuccino and signature sweets, such as Three-Flavour Tiramisu, Bomboloni, and Maritrozzi. There is also a daily selection of fresh croissants and a wide variety of tempting pastries such as Cannoli, Occhi di Bue, and Baci di Dama.
Shophaus Mahakan also celebrated the return of Gelato Secrets. Here, you can try Gelato Secrets’ favourite flavours include Ferrero, Honeycomb, Pistachio and Durian Gelato (with dairy).
As for Sorbetto (with no dairy), Strawberry and Passion Fruit are highly recommended. For those who just want to taste the deliciousness, Gelato Secrets recommends the Dark Chocolate Gelato and Pistachio variants. These two variants also brings the sustainability mission.
“We work with farmers from Jembrana Bali, where they cultivate good quality cacao pods. By supporting local production, we help sustain the economic movement in Indonesia. As for the Pistachios, we use pistachios from Sicily, which is the most famous type of nut in Italy,” explains Gelato Secrets Owner, Gregory Lentini who has dedicated his life to creating gelato and sorbetto.
Gelato Secrets is made using only 100 per cent natural and premium ingredients, no artificial colouring, and preservatives added. Gelato is prepared “from scratch” to maintain the quality of each ingredient used. It also offers sorbetto that is 100 percent plant-based.
