It’s not every day that Jakarta becomes the epicentre of cutting-edge fashion, but when it does, it’s no less than a spectacle. ESMOD’s Jakarta Creative Show 2024 made its mark as Indonesia’s largest fashion school event, when this glittering affair held on 30 November 2024, displayed youthful ingenuity and boundless creativity. With 159 looks and 17 jaw-dropping projects gracing the runway, this was no ordinary showcase.
ESMOD Jakarta, part of the illustrious ESMOD International network based in France, has long stood at the top of fashion education in Indonesia. As officially recognised by the Ministry of Education and Culture, it has become a creative powerhouse, shaping young minds to merge global standards with local flavours. And from this Creative Show, the results spoke for themselves.

What stood out most about Creative Show 2024 was its breadth of talent, spanning across three distinct programmes. The Fashion Design and Creation students impressed the audience with their personal collections – a collection of five specialisations, from Urban & Tailor to Nouvelle Couture Lux. It’s one thing to learn design theory, but seeing these creations come to life, from sketchpad to production, was an entirely different story.
Then, there was the International Fashion Business programme, where students proved that fashion isn’t just about art but also commerce. Their knack for blending business acumen with creativity promises a future where they’re not just designers but also industry leaders. And let’s not overlook the intensive One-Year Fashion Design and Pattern Making course, churning out ready-to-wear collections that felt like an ode to practicality and style.
The Creative Show 2024 was far more than just a showcase for the students, it was also a platform where creative minds meet and merge. Held at the prestigious Pullman Jakarta Central Park, designers, influencers, media and brands all came together, as spectators and collaborators helping these young talents to foster. Registration for the event was so popular that it closed two days early – clearly, word got around that something special was happening here.

And speaking of special, the Coup de Coeur de Jury (Grand Jury Award) added a touch of prestige to the proceedings. Three students – Nicole Cabriolle Lee, Kim Ea Zy, and Tiffany Kendro – stole the spotlight with their award-winning works. Selected by a panel of 31 industry professionals (yes, thirty-one), the awards attested ESMOD Jakarta’s ability to prepare its students for real-world success.
Beyond the glitz and glamour, Creative Show 2024 served as a reminder of why ESMOD Jakarta remains a trailblazer. By nurturing creativity and forging global collaborations, the institution proves itself to be more than just a fashion school but also a launchpad for Indonesia’s next generation of fashion innovators and creatives. And if this year’s show is anything to go by, the future looks bright – and exquisitely tailored.
