Choosing what to eat just got a little harder at Café Kissa, where the Teishoku Series now has four new dishes to tempt different cravings. Salmon Ochazuke, Buta Carbonara Udon, Braised Beef Curry and Spicy Miso Mapo Tofu each bring something different to the table, from soothing dashi and tender salmon to creamy noodles, Japanese curry and a spicy miso kick.

For something light and comforting, Salmon Ochazuke pairs seared salmon glazed with tare with warm rice, creamy mentaiko and dashi broth. Ikura, wasabi and shredded nori finish the dish, adding savoury, briny and slightly spicy notes. Braised Beef Curry keeps things hearty, serving slow-cooked tender beef with mild Japanese curry, steamed rice, crispy potatoes and carrots.

Spicy Miso Mapo Tofu packs plenty of flavour into its silky tofu and ground beef, coated in a spicy miso sauce seasoned with sansho and Sichuan peppercorn. Steamed rice and an onsen egg complete the set. Buta Carbonara Udon offers something creamier, pairing chewy udon with carbonara cream, egg yolk, seared pork belly and parmesan for a Japanese-inspired spin on a familiar comfort food.

The new dishes join Café Kissa’s existing Teishoku favourites, including Beef Hambagu, Grilled Salmon Teriyaki, Miso Butter Chicken Katsu and Soy Garlic Butter Saikoro. These have received an update too, with accompaniments such as salmon sashimi, miso soup, chilli garlic edamame, tori kawa nori and tamagoyaki adding more variety to the complete sets.

Part of Teishoku’s charm comes from having a little of everything on the same tray. A main dish sits alongside rice, soup and smaller sides. Each set offers a mix of flavours and textures without the need to order several separate dishes. Café Kissa stays true to the traditional Teishoku balance while giving diners more choices, from well-loved favourites to four new dishes.

“From the beginning, we introduced Teishoku as an option for guests looking to enjoy a complete Japanese meal in one set. With this refresh, we wanted to offer greater variety in both flavours and dishes, while maintaining the sense of balance that defines Teishoku. We hope the new selections give our guests another reason to come back and experience Teishoku in a different way,” said Cendyarani, President Director of ISMAYA Group.

Already have a Café Kissa favourite? The four new Teishoku dishes might be a good reason to order something different next time.
