Reflecting on its remarkable journey, Gaia Hotel Bandung celebrates three years since its grand opening in November 2021, with a series of creative activities. Born amidst the uncertainties of the pandemic, Gaia had a vision that went beyond providing mere accommodation. It set out to become a holistic escape where guests could find both relaxation and renewal. Now, on its third anniversary, Gaia has established itself as a “modern village,” where guests come to rest, rediscover themselves, and rejuvenate at their own pace.

The world of hospitality is fast-paced and stays true to the saying “busy is good”, what some might find overwhelming, Gaia Hotel Bandung has actually thrived on the pouring energy of each guest it has welcomed. Over the years the hotel has become a reliable destination for inspiration and well-being. Gaia acknowledges this achievement as a testament to the dedication and passion of their devoted staffs that they fondly called as ‘residents’, along with the support of partners, officials, media and the broader community who’ve all played hands in the growing success of this establishment.

Complimenting this tribute, Gaia Hotel Bandung is hosting “The Journey,” a special photography exhibition curated by Bagoes Kresnawan. This exhibition displays exclusive glimpses into Gaia’s eight-year journey from concept to celebrated reality, highlighting the commitment and creativity that made it all possible. As part of the anniversary, Gaia has also organised a panel discussion featuring its creative collaborators: Ferry Ridwan, the architectural mastermind; Bagus Pandega, creator of the “The Echoes” art installation; Bagas Indyatmono, CEO of Jazz Gunung Indonesia; and Hengky Susanto, the photographer who documented Gaia’s journey.

To celebrate this milestone, as an appreciation to the people and moments that have shaped its story, Gaia presents a unique gift to guests: Beyond the Seen – A Visual Story of GAIA Becoming, a coffee table book filled with candid snapshots of Gaia’s evolution. It captures the fog surrounding the Infinity Pool, golden beams of sunlight illuminating the architecture, the sparkle in a child’s eye, and the unseen dedication behind each curated experience. This book, available in each room, allows guests to experience the hotel’s story from an insider’s perspective.

Looking ahead, Gaia is committed to sustainable hospitality, with initiatives like its recent challenge to reach 11 million steps—completed in just seven days—Gaia’s Residents have pledged to plant 333 trees, underscoring the hotel’s dedication to environmental responsibility.

This third anniversary is a hallmark that invites all guests, media, and partners alike—to be part of Gaia’s future. The hotel continuously strives to be a vibrant, evolving sanctuary that remains committed to fostering connections, nurturing nature, and inspiring everyone who steps through its doors.
