The hotel’s pastry chefs have also created a special Christmas log edition in the shape of a vintage radio, headset and microphone, inspired by the career of Indy Barends. The famous Indonesian radio announcer and television host can look back on a career spanning 15 years in the entertainment industry, yet she remains a down-to-earth and friendly person. The Indy Barends’ Signature Christmas Log consists of chocolate sponge, chocolate mousse, berry compote and sable cracker in a dark blue colour as the beautiful radio dome. This special edition log costs IDR 648.000 nett.

The hotel also introduces a Windmill Ginger Bread House that stands tall in its main lobby area. Inspired by Dutch windmills, due to the long history of Indonesia and the Netherlands, the giant ginger bread house comes in a size of 6 x4 meters and is made from 800 pieces of ginger bread from 640 kilograms of boiled dough, 320 kilograms of flour, 140 kilograms of honey, 60 kilograms of milk, 50 kilograms of egg, 100 kilograms of icing sugar and many more. It is covered with a variety of candies and icing, conveying the joyful Christmas spirit.
