On its tenth anniversary, the award-winning farm-to-closet fashion label SukkhaCitta reopens its flagship store, now known as Rumah SukkhaCitta at ASHTA District 8. For the first time, visitors can experience the brand’s entire journey—from farm to closet—under one roof.

Designed as a sanctuary amid the pace of city life, the space blends natural materials and thoughtful craftsmanship to create a sense of calm and warmth. At its heart stands a tiered wooden roof inspired by Indonesia’s intercropping tradition, tumpang sari, where diverse crops grow together to enrich the soil. Drawing from the architecture of a traditional Javanese joglo house, the store features hand-carved timber pillars, natural dye batik panels that softly filter light, and untreated surfaces that reveal the beauty of the materials and the hands that shaped them.

More than a retail space, Rumah SukkhaCitta invites visitors to slow down, touch, linger and connect with the origins of each garment. It embodies the brand’s belief that true luxury lies not in distance or excess, but in closeness, authenticity and a deep sense of place.

Coinciding with the reopening and marking a decade of work, SukkhaCitta has also unveiled its latest collection, Ikatan. Rooted in the heritage of the woven ikat technique, each textile is tied by hand to resist the dye before being coloured with plants grown in living soil. The pattern remains hidden until the moment of weaving, when it is finally brought to life on the loom. Through the collection, visitors can gain a deeper appreciation of the craftsmanship, heritage and environmentally responsible practices that define the brand.
