The Langham Jakarta has recently revealed that they will be opening a new restaurant, Morimoto Jakarta, in partnership with the renowned Japanese celebrity chef, Masaharu Morimoto.
Masaharu Morimoto is a Japanese chef, best known as an Iron Chef on the Japanese TV cooking show Iron Chef and its spinoff Iron Chef America. The world-renowned chef, with 20 years of experience under his belt, is also famous for his flagship restaurant, Morimoto, in Philadelphia, USA, which will be opening in Jakarta sometime in mid-2023 at The Langham Jakarta.
The luxury hotel is no stranger to celebrity chefs with their sophisticated European restaurant, Tom’s by Tom Aikens, already pleasing the city’s most discerning diners. Morimoto Jakarta will be another addition to the hotel’s upscale dining establishments, combining the best of Japanese cuisine with Indonesia’s finest ingredients.
Set to be located on the hotel’s 63rd floor, with spacious, chic and beautifully-decorated interior, Morimoto Jakarta will be the first opening of the restaurant brand throughout Southeast Asia. An exciting addition to the city’s already lively dining scene, its opening is set to bring an innovative culinary journey that shows a new culinary perspective on Japanese cuisine. Morimoto Jakarta is set to seat up to 99 guests, including 1 Private Dining Room ready to be booked for more personal and intimate dinners, where guests can expect world class service and a sophisticated atmosphere.
Visitors soon can explore a menu that showcases signature Japanese cuisines with a focus on fresh and high-quality ingredients. The menu features a wide range of dishes, from small plates to seasonal specialties, all made with fresh, high-quality components. A few of Iron Chef Morimoto’s all-time favourites like the tuna pizza, hot oil carpaccio and rock shrimp tempura are also expected to make appearances, along with many other exciting choices.The menu will offer something for everyone, and Morimoto Jakarta encourages its guests to explore the innovative creations of their founding Chef.
