


Summer gets the tappan statement at Ironplate. This Jakarta Franco-Asian steakhouse has introduced its Summer Omakase, a limited-time menu that brings together seafood, summer vegetables, selected cuts and dessert in a seasonal dining format. Available from 3 July 2026 until the end of September 2026, the menu is priced at IDR 1,200,000++ per person, with required advance bookings.
The menu plays with the season’s sharper and richer notes, moving through ingredients associated with warmer months, from bright fruit acidity to grilled vegetables and richer meat pairings. One of the seasonal highlights is Green Strawberry, served with Hamachi, amazu and jalapeño. The fruit brings a crisp texture and clean acidity, cutting through the richness of the fish while adding a sharper, fresher note to the plate.
The selection also features Dwarf Tomato, chosen for its natural sweetness and depth of flavour. It is paired with bresaola and yaki nasu, or smoky grilled eggplant, creating a dish that balances savoury richness with the roundness of ripe summer produce. Dessert closes the experience with Rhubarb Mille-Feuille, layered with mascarpone cream and arbei sorbet. The rhubarb adds brightness to the pastry, giving the final course a lighter finish without losing structure.
Ironplate’s setting adds to the nature of the menu. The restaurant brings together chophouse references, bistro-style cooking and live teppan preparation, placing guests close to the action at the flat iron grills. Its Franco-Asian direction appears in the use of classic sauces, house-made butters, and premium steaks.
