JS Luwansa Hotel and Convention Center has reopened its Grand Ballroom following a comprehensive renovation, marking a renewed push into Jakarta’s competitive MICE and social events market. Introduced through a launch celebration titled The Grand Reveal – JS Luwansa Ballroom Reimagined, the refreshed venue brings updated interiors, upgraded event technology and a cleaner, more contemporary setting for conferences, weddings, gala dinners and large-scale functions.

JS Luwansa’s Grand Ballroom has been upgraded across its main physical elements, including new carpeting, ceiling treatments and wall finishes. The renovation results in a premium minimalist design that gives the room a lighter and more flexible character.
Technology is one of the main points of the renewal. The ballroom is now equipped with an Allen & Heath Qu-6 Mixer, which can support up to 38 microphones at the same time. For conferences, panel discussions, weddings and live presentations, this allows for clearer sound management and greater stability during events with multiple speakers or performers.
The sound system is supported by Bose Speakers technology, designed to provide up to 180-degree sound coverage across the ballroom. The system has also been integrated into the room in a way that keeps the overall appearance clean. Lighting has also been updated through Simon Smart Light Up Emotions, an intelligent lighting system that can be operated digitally, through an application or manually. This gives organisers greater control over ambience, from formal corporate presentations to wedding receptions and gala dinners that require shifts in tone throughout the programme.
