The Ibero-American Association in Jakarta (AIA) will host its annual Christmas gathering on Saturday, 22 November at Raffles Jakarta. Starting from 7pm to 1pm, the celebration draws together the comfort of the holiday season and the spirited character of Latin culture. It’s the kind of night made for families, groups and anyone hoping to enjoy Christmas in a setting that feels warm, open and pleasantly distinct from the celebrations they might know.

This year’s edition centres on a Latin festive dinner, presented through a signature show kitchen and a full buffet spread. Guests will receive two drink tickets along with free-flow water, juices, tea and coffee throughout the night. Expect the mood to stay upbeat throughout the evening, carrying guests from the opening dishes to the last track.

The programme stretches well beyond dining. A charity bazaar will raise funds for local causes, continuing AIA’s long-standing commitment to community support. The Pondok Taruna Orphanage will deliver a special performance, followed by hours of dancing with a DJ keeping the floor busy. Families can bring children without worry, with a dedicated Kids Corner set up for play and activities.

Tickets are available for AIA members at IDR 990,000 and for non-members at IDR 1,250,000. Children aged four to twelve may join for IDR 450,000, while those under three attend free of charge. Guests are encouraged to dress in Christmas Festive Chic to match the mood of the evening.

Founded in 1978, AIA is a non-profit organisation that unites Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking communities in Jakarta. Alongside cultural events, the association remains active in volunteer work that supports social causes across the city.
