Savour the finest of French cuisine at Lyon, the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta’s signature French restaurant, where they’ve recently unveiled the new ‘Farm-to-Table’ dining experience.
Serving authentic French delicacies fresh from the farm to guests’ plates, the latest ‘Farm-to-Table’ experience is the hotel’s newest approach to introducing and encouraging healthy and sustainable eating concepts to guests. The farm-to-table dining concept at its core is sourcing ingredients locally from farmers, reducing emissions from transportation and promoting sustainable agriculture.
Available from Tuesday to Friday, guests can enjoy a wonderful lunch experience, which includes a guided tour of the dishes by Lyon’s chefs, where they’ll share the inspirations behind each mouth-watering culinary creation.
Offering a smorgasbord of all-you-can-eat delicacies, the promotion showcases tantalising dishes such as Boeuf Bourguignon, a slow-cooked beef marinated in red wine and herbs and another iconic classic – the Coq au Vin, translated to “rooster in wine”, a dish that encapsulated centuries of culinary tradition and rustic elegance.
Turophiles will be taken on a voyage across the regions of France with a curated variety of artisan cheese, paired with freshly baked baguettes and the restaurant’s homemade sourdough to reflect a tapestry of textures and flavours.
Meanwhile, the Soup of the Day is made daily utilising only the freshest seasonal ingredients that demonstrate the creativity of the award-winning chefs. To conclude the meal on a sweet note, guests can choose from an array of palate-cleansing desserts which vary daily, including the Valrhona Chocolate Pudding, a velvety premium chocolate pudding topped with melted chocolate, Raspberry Tart, a refreshing dessert that invites guests to savour the fleeting sweetness of summer, Blueberry Cheesecake, a silky rich delight that is perfectly balanced in sweetness, and American Chocolate, an all-time favourite among hotel regulars.
