Starbucks Indonesia welcomes Chinese New Year this year by opening its latest store in a vibrant neighbourhood on the west side of Jakarta, Glodok — an area touted as the largest Chinatown region in the country. Unlike other Starbucks stores in the city, this cafe is a nod to local culture where the the architecture and the atmosphere are inspired by Chinese design.

Starbucks Glodok incorporates traditional Chinese architecture with modern design, a synthesis of East and West. Located at Pancoran Chinatown Points, Baristas are ready to welcome you for morning coffee, as it starts open on 7.30 am. until 9.00 pm everyday.

As part of the Chinese New Year celebrations, there is a collection of piglet-themed drinkware at Starbucks locations across Indonesia, inspired by this year's zodiac, the Pig. The collection features pink piglets frolicking amongst stylish stripes and prosperous yellow flowers and are the perfect merchandise for gifts for serving tea and coffee to friends and families at the New Year’s gatherings.

While it is a time-honoured tradition “lai see” or "hongbao", Lunar New Year Starbucks Card is also the perfect time to send to your loved ones on this special occasion.
