TRANSFORMATION Surabaya – MVB Sustainability Forum 2026 will be held on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, from 9am to 6pm at the Ballroom of JW Marriott Surabaya. The forum will bring together speakers from hospitality, tourism, manufacturing, urban development, sustainability services and government-related sectors to discuss practical sustainability action in Indonesia.
The Surabaya edition is part of MVB Indonesia’s multi-city sustainability platform. It focuses on implementation, moving from awareness and commitments to operational changes that can be measured, repeated and scaled.
Surabaya is a relevant host city for the forum. As one of Indonesia’s major industrial and commercial centres, the city connects manufacturing, property, logistics, hospitality and public infrastructure. These sectors are directly linked to issues such as resource use, waste management, urban resilience and circular economy planning.
The forum will focus on four pillars: urban sustainability and community resilience, resource efficiency and smart operations, circular economy and industrial transformation, and nature, climate action and credible sustainability assurance.
Across the programme, attendees can expect government perspectives, industry case studies, technology demonstrations and certification insights. The sessions will cover ways to improve operations, strengthen sustainability governance and create measurable environmental and social impact.
The speaker line-up includes Nabila Syavira of PT Suparma Tbk, Muhamad Rifki of Control Union, Jelle Therry of Urban Nature, Tobias Wilson of Shiva Industries, Maitri Fischer of Eco Mantra, Erik Cahyanta of Recoolit, Mohammed Al-Dailami of Simonix Digital Lab, Maureen Ryder of House Linen Bali and Tharesa Rahma Primula of Noovoleum, with more speakers to be announced. The forum will be moderated by Alistair Speirs of MVB Indonesia.
Their range of sectors gives the programme its practical value. Waste, buildings, textiles, cooling systems, certification, digital tools and industrial processes all require different approaches. Bringing them into one forum allows participants to see where the challenges overlap, and where collaboration can make solutions easier to apply.
Professionals, business owners and decision-makers across hospitality, tourism, manufacturing, property, government, academia, NGOs and sustainability sectors are encouraged to attend.
