September is a month full of exciting culinary events at The Langham, Jakarta as the hotel celebrates its inaugural Culinary Month. Collaborating with Elite Grahacipta, this gastronomic festivity will be running from 5 to 27 September 2024, and features a variety of culinary collaborations, special menus, and exclusive events that highlight both local and international culinary talent.
Kickstarting the month is the grand unveiling of the Baccarat Dining Room. This exclusive dining venue is designed to reflect the opulence and sophistication for which Baccarat and The Langham are known. The collaboration marks two significant anniversaries: The Langham Jakarta’s 3rd year and Baccarat’s 260th year of exceptional craftsmanship.
The Baccarat Dining Room is glamorous sight adorned with stunning Baccarat crystal elements, from glassware to candelabras and vases, all set against a backdrop of fresh flowers. This opulent space is perfect for special occasions, corporate events, and intimate gatherings. To celebrate the opening Executive Chef Egidio Latorraca has crafted a sumptuous menu that tells a story of passion and dedication to artisanship.
These menus can be enjoyed from 6-7 September 2024 through a 5-course lunch menu, priced at IDR 1,988,000++ per person, featuring dishes like Roulade de Truite Fumée and a choice of Barramundi or Plat de Boeuf, finished with a decadent Vanilla Mille Feuille. Or you can opt for a scrumptious 6-course dinner set menu for IDR IDR 2,188,000++ per person, offering delights such as Foie Gras Mousse, Huîtres Chaudes aux Poireaux, and a signature Dark Chocolate and Orange Marmalade Macaron, each of these offerings is inclusive of beverage pairings.
The Baccarat Dining Room’s special grand opening menus are just the beginning of The Langham Jakarta’s Culinary Month. From 12 to 14 September, guests can experience a unique Cantonese-Italian fusion set menu through a collaboration between seasoned chefs, Chef Maurizio Bombini of Mauri Restaurant in Bali and Executive Chinese Chef Sam at T’ang Court. Priced at IDR 1,888,000++ this one-of-a-kind dining experience is available for both lunch and dinner.
On 20 September, Morimoto, renowned for serving the finest global Japanese cuisine, will host an exclusive 8-Hands Dinner where Executive Chef Egidio will join forces with Chef Chong Kooi Sam of T’ang Court, Chef Asep of Morimoto, and French Pastry Chef Norbert to present a 7-course Omakase dinner. This culinary event showcases authentic Japanese gastronomy served with creative twists priced at IDR 1,788,000++ per person, you can enjoy premium Sake selections with an additional IDR 688,000++.
Tom’s by Tom Aikens will also be part of the celebrations, offering a series of Anniversary Brunch and Dinner buffets from 21-22 September. Priced at IDR 788,000++ for dinner and IDR 688,000++ for Sunday Brunch, guests can savour iconic British dishes accompanied by live jazz performances, making it the perfect setting for a sophisticated dining experience for the weekend.
To round off the Culinary Month, ALICE will host Michelin-starred Chef Jérôme Quilbeuf from Tokyo. From 25 to 27 September, guests will be pampered by Chef Quilbeuf’s signature French creations, including Smoked Bonito, Chicken Cannelloni, and Wagyu Beef Sumibiyaki. The 4-course lunch is priced at IDR 988,000++ per person, while the 6-course dinner is available for IDR 1,288,000++ per person.
