Bandung’s most anticipated music celebration returns this October as The Papandayan Jazz Fest (TPJF) 2025 takes centre stage on 4–5 October 2025 at The Papandayan Hotel. Now in its tenth year, the festival carries the theme “Culture Resonance”, a reflection of how jazz has long intertwined with Indonesia’s cultural fabric—shaping lifestyle, community, and even cuisine.
What began as an ambitious hotel initiative has now grown into a landmark on the city’s cultural calendar. TPJF’s consistency has not only nurtured local talent but also earned it a MURI Record as the only hotel in Indonesia to have hosted a jazz festival annually for ten consecutive years.
“TPJF has always been about more than music,” said Bobby Renaldi, General Manager of The Papandayan and Founder of TP Jazz Management. “It is a platform of heritage, connection, and cultural mission.”

This milestone edition promises a programme that goes well beyond the stage. From a cultural opening ceremony to a tribute to legendary musicians, the festival will feature masterclasses and workshops, the ever-popular Pasar Jazz bazaar, and a special intergenerational project led by Barry Likumahuwa, Dwiki Dharmawan, and Venche Manuhutu.
The 2025 lineup reads like a roll call of Indonesia’s finest, alongside rising names. Expect performances by Afgan, Abdul & The Coffee Theory, HIVI!, Reality Club, Rieka Roslan & Nadadara, Ziva Magnolya, and the Bandung Jazz Orchestra, among many others. Collaborative showcases—such as Barry Likumahuwa and The Rhythm Service featuring Trie Utami—underscore the festival’s vision of bridging generations through music.

Festival-goers can choose from Silver, Gold, and Platinum passes, granting access across seven to eight stages, from the intimate Mirten Lounge to the grand Suagi Ballroom.
As TPJF celebrates its decade-long journey, this year’s edition resonates not just with the sound of jazz, but with the heartbeat of Bandung’s creative spirit.
