On 6 September 2023, at a distinguished gala ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, The Westin Jakarta was honoured with the title of ‘Indonesia’s Leading Business Hotel’ by the prestigious World Travel Awards 2023
World Travel Awards™˛ was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Today, the World Travel Awards™ brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence.
Competition participants go through a tough vetting process by travel industry experts just to be nominated, following judging criteria that span seven categories, ranging from customer satisfaction and quality of service to staff relations and development. After nomination into a category, voting begins: votes are made by professionals working within travel and tourism – senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators and travel agents. Since 2009, voting now is also been open to the public.
In this year’s World Travel Awards, having been nominated alongside 12 luxury five-star hotels in Jakarta and Surabaya, The Westin Jakarta earned the trophy as the winner of Indonesia’s Leading Business Hotel. It’s of no surprise, of course, as the centrally-located hotel provides a premium destination for business travellers to the city.
