Get ready for a culinary experience as Mandarin Oriental Jakarta welcomes Two Michelin-Starred Chef Fei from Jiang, at Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou for the second time this year. He will yet again mark his presence upon the capital’s dining scene with his 6-course menu for lunch and dinner at the hotel’s crown jewel Chinese restaurant, Li Feng, from 24-25 November 2023.
Open since 2016, Li Feng has been serving the city’s gastronomes with authentic Cantonese cuisine, in an opulent space that brings guests the atmosphere of the culturally rich and classic Chinese high-end restaurants. Chef Fei, who’s known for his expertise in Cantonese dishes, will take over Li Feng’s kitchen with his curated menu that showcases the vibrant flavours of the cuisine.
With this 6-course menu, guests can expect a lavish spread of seafood, served as authentic Cantonese dishes. The menu starts with a signature platter of Crispy Foie Gras Puff; Beef Char Siew Osmanthus Flower Honey; and Marinated Chinese Celtuce with Vinegar Sauce. A warm bowl of Doubled Boiled Fish Maw with Royal Chrysanthemum Soup will send you to the tantalising main courses, consisting of Baked Stuffed Crab Shell with Crab Meat Onion Cheese Cream Sauce; Steamed Tiger Fish Fillet with Preserved Radish Black Bean Garlic Sauce; and Poached Wonton with Sergestid Shrimps and Seaweed. The menu will be closed with the sweet and delectable dessert, Doubled Boiled Star Jelly with Tian Shan Lotus, Peach Gunn and Pear.
During the exclusive two-day event, attendees will not only indulge in a gastronomic feast but also have the opportunity to meet and interact with Chef Fei himself. The seating for this lunch and dinner session is limited as it will create an intimate atmosphere where guests can converse, and share culinary stories and insights from the culinary master himself.
As a token of appreciation, each guest will receive a signed menu, making the experience even more memorable. For lunch, this 6-course menu is available at IDR 1,588,000++ per person, while the dinner is priced at IDR 1,888,000++ per person.
