The Women’s International Club (WIC) Jakarta successfully held its 55th Annual Charity Bazaar on 13–14 November 2024 at the Jakarta Convention Center. In keeping with its long-standing tradition, all proceeds from the bazaar have been donated to initiatives that support social welfare and education through WIC’s Bazaar Proceeds Committee (BPC). The BPC, composed of WIC members and spouses of ambassadors, is responsible for evaluating all requests for support received by the organization.
On 30 April 2025, WIC held an official handover ceremony at the WIC Secretariat in Kuningan, Jakarta, to distribute the proceeds from the 2023–2024 charity bazaar to 11 selected beneficiaries. The event opened with remarks from WIC President Mrs. Nazneen Khubchandani and the Chairwoman of the Bazaar Proceeds Committee, Mrs. Nancy W.R. Fatwan.
“Today, we mark the conclusion of a year-long journey that began with the bazaar preparations, followed by its implementation, and culminated in the distribution of its proceeds,” said Mrs. Nancy W.R. Fatwan.
“Each year, WIC receives numerous donation requests from various social foundations and institutions. To ensure the funds are used effectively, we form the BPC and personally visit the requesting organizations to assess their actual needs. The IDR 450 million we are handing over today is a testament to the generosity of our supporters and our commitment to improving education and social welfare. We sincerely hope this assistance is well received and utilized as intended.”
