Aditya Wiguna of Cassis Kitchen and Albert Yacob of J Sparrow’s won the first West Regional Semi Finals and rightfully earned a spot to compete in the National Finals of World Class 2017, an international competition that annually crowns the World’s Best Bartender.
Aditya Wiguna and Albert Yacob went head-to-head with four other semi-finalists; all of them were challenged to create a signature aperitif and digestif cocktail in the context of a dining experience. The two winners impressed the judges with their unique concoctions; Aditya Wiguna presented “Mooie Dames” as aperitif and “Fashion Victim” as digestif, while Albert Yacob created “La Primavera” and “Rom Zcaffa”.
“It takes a deep understanding of the world of cocktails to elevate it to the next level gastronomically,” said judge Steve Schneider who is one of the most respected and successful bartenders in the industry. “Today, […] I have witnessed a lot of talent and passion.”
The National Finals of World Class 2017 in Indonesia will take place in May in Jakarta. The winner will represent Indonesia on the global stage.
