Art can shift the way a hotel is experienced, especially when it brings local creative voices into a space used by travellers, guests and Jakarta residents alike. Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites has unveiled “Echoes of Harmony”, a duo art exhibition featuring Indonesian artists Sutopo and I Ketut Marra, presented in collaboration with Zola Zolu Gallery at ARTSPACE on the hotel’s Lobby Floor.
Officially launched on Friday, 12 June 2026, the exhibition runs until 12 September 2026. It brings together two artists whose works approach harmony though different visual languages. Marra through the cultural and spiritual life of Bali, and Sutopo through nature-led symbolism shaped by birds, mountains, forests and flowing water.
ARTSPACE gives the lobby a cultural function beyond arrival. At Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites, guests can encounter Indonesian contemporary art between check-ins, meetings and hotel visits, making the exhibition part of the property’s daily movement.

“Echoes of Harmony” examines the relationship between humanity, nature and culture. Marra’s paintings draw from Balinese landscapes, ceremonies and communal values, presenting scenes where spirituality, community and the natural environment remain closely linked. Colour and movement play an important role in his works, giving form to the rhythms of Balinese life.
Sutopo’s approach is more reflective. His paintings use natural elements as metaphors for freedom, balance and interconnection. The works are informed by an Asian philosophical understanding of humanity as part of nature rather than separate from it.
The exhibition is staged in partnership with Zola Zolu Gallery, adding a curatorial layer to the hotel’s ongoing commitment to Indonesian artists. All works displayed in “Echoes of Harmony” are available for private collection.
“This partnership is all about giving local artists a premier stage to display their incredible work,” said Faisal Tranggono, General Manager of Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites Jakarta. He added that the hotel is committed to helping artists market and sell their works, while offering support to the local creative community.
ARTSPACE is present across ARTOTEL properties as part of the group’s broader cultural programme, which includes exhibitions, workshops and collaborative initiatives. Through these programmes, ARTOTEL Group continues to connect Indonesian artists with hotel guests, collectors and the wider public.
Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites itself carries the theme “NUSANTARA RE-Imagine”, an art-led concept inspired by Indonesian culture. The five-star hotel features 311 rooms, including ARTSY Rooms, Premium Rooms and Business Suites, alongside meeting rooms, BERANDA All Day Dining, Semanggi Lounge, a fitness centre and a swimming pool.
Visitors can view the exhibition at ARTSPACE, Lobby Level, until 12 September 2026.
